Owner
Ashton Speer M.S. CCC-SLP
Hi! I'm Ashton Speer and here's a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio (yay CP!), I graduated from Perkins High School in 2013, and I love animals. I graduated with my Bachelors in 2016 from BGSU and made my way to the other side of the state by attending Baldwin Wallace University in 2018 with my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. From there, I've worked in home health, inpatient, out-patient, skilled nursing facilities, schools, and (of course) private practice. I've treated in the areas of articulation (speech sounds), dysphagia (swallowing disorders), cognition, receptive (understanding) and expressive (using) language, social skills, fluency, phonological awareness, and executive functioning.
Some fun tid-bits about me are, I own 5 rabbits, my dream is to own a horse one day, I hate running but do it anyway, I love being outside, and I'm planning a wedding!
I started RTS, because I wanted to be excited to go to work in the morning and to actually feel like I was making a difference in people's lives. I also wanted to cultivate a positive, non-toxic, work environment where other SLP's can feel the same.
Whether you see a social media post, email, or literally anything on this website, it was written by me! If you have any questions, or want to learn more about RTS, shoot me an email at aspeer@resiliencetherapyservices.com!
SLP in the Making
Alicia Del Valle M.S. CF-SLP
Alicia Del Valle is the first SLP that made this team, a team! She's from Lorain, Ohio and is on her way to becoming an amazing fully licensed SLP! Alicia is currently a Clinical Fellow (CF) of Speech-Language Pathology. This is a 9-month program that is mandatory for all fully licensed SLP's. During this Clinical Fellowship, she receives mentorship and support from a fully licensed SLP in order to accurately and effectively treat and evaluate patients and students.

Alicia currently works in the school setting. She's currently serving students in the areas of articulation, expressive language (using language), receptive language (understanding language), reading comprehension, syntax (sentences), semantics (vocabulary), pragmatics (social skills), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and grammar. Her current caseload consists of grades pre-K - 12th grade. She also consults with school staff on a regular basis.

Alicia graduated from Amherst Steele High School in 2018. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 2021 and her Master’s degree in 2023, both from the University of Toledo. She has loved the speech therapy field because it has given her the opportunity to help others see the potential in themselves and witness them reach their goals along the way!
She also loves listening to music, growing her plant collection, exploring new cities, and trying new restaurants!
